Fons de Visscher was a respected fishmonger for 27 years in Helmond, a small city in the Netherlands, when he decided to start a fish restaurant. Driven by his passion, Fons created The Seafood Bar in 2012 in Amsterdam.

After 4 successful locations in Amsterdam and Utrecht, the Netherlands, we’re proud to have opened our newest restaurant in Soho, London.

We have immense respect for our environment and do everything we can to reduce our footprint. Our fish and seafood comes from sustainable sources wherever we can.
